BEIJING, Oct. 26 (China Space News) — Beijing Institute of Space Mechanics and Electricity (BISME) signed a letter of intent with The Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing October 26.
The signing of the letter of intent was witnessed by Chinese President Xi Jinping and Dutch King Willem-Alexander.
According to the Sino-Holland Joint-Laboratory of Space Optical Instrument Cooperation, the two parties will collaborate on earth observation and deep space exploration projects, which marks the joint laboratory has entered a new development stage.
The 1st workshop of Sino-Holland Joint-Laboratory of Space Optical Instrument successfully took place in August 2014, at BISME, China. Experts exchanged expertise in various topics, such as spectrometer design and space instrument calibration.
The 2nd Conference will be held in The Hague, The Netherlands this November.
