Dreams to Fly in Space

BEIJING, Aug. 23 (China Space News) — A dream-solicitation event was launched on Aug. 18, Beijing, to collect dreams from Chinese all over the world, and all the collected dreams have a chance to get aboard the Shenzhou-8 spacecraft, which is expected to be launched this year.

The project is managed by China Space News, under the instruction of China Manned Space Engineering Office (CMSEO), as well as China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. It is sponsored by Micoe Solar Energy Co., Ltd., a cooperative partner of China space industry, and supported by China Space Foundation.

Yang Liwei, China's first astronaut and deputy director of CMSEO spoke at the ceremony and wrote his dreams down along with many other people.

He said that he hoped this event would encourage more people to get involved with space exploration.

According to the organizer of the event, from now till Sep. 10, people may submit their dreams in the form of words, pictures or audio and video works through Tencent's qq. com, spacechina.com, Micoe's official website, mobile phone website 3g.qq. com, and the official micro-blog opened by the organizing committee on qq.com.
