China Launches Another Experimental Satellite

BEIJING, Aug. 2 (China Space News) — China launched an experimental satellite into space from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Gansu Province on Friday.
The SJ-11-02 satellilte was sent into space at 3:42 p.m., July 29 by a Long March-2C carrier rocket, according to the launch center.
The satellite, developed by China Spacesat Co., Ltd. under China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, will be used to conduct scientific experiments in space, the company said.
The launch marked the 142nd flight of the Long March launch vehicle family.
