CASC Seeks Further Cooperation with NSMC

BEIJING, July 8 (China Space News) — The Academy of Satellite Applications under China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the National Satellite Meteorological Center (NSMC) on July 5, to further expand their friendly cooperation.

Yu Rucong, deputy administrator of the China Meteorological Administration, and Yuan Jie, vice president of CASC attended the ceremony.

Mr. Yu said he appreciated the role CASC had played in the development of meteorological satellites in China.

"With the development of the national economy and improvement of people's lives, a better meteorological service is called for," said Mr. Yu, adding that aerospace high tech would continue to be used to advance the meteorological service.

He said the NSMC would increase its cooperation with CASC in terms of satellite ground application systems and improve the meteorological service.
