XICHANG, Sichuan Province, Jan. 6 (Xinhua) -- China successfully launched the No.2 telecommunication technology test satellite late Thursday night from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China's Sichuan Province.

The satellite was launched at 11:18 p.m. by a Long March-3B carrier rocket.
