BEIJING, July.1 (China Space News) -- A technology exhibition was opened on Wednesday in Hong Kong to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China.
A grand opening ceremony was held in the Victoria Park, attended by HK Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying and Vice President of CASC Zhang Jianheng, among others.
The exhibition takes the theme of innovation and displays China's achievement in science and technology in the past 60 years.
A total of 168 exhibits, including models of China's rockets and Beidou satellite navigation system, are displayed in five different sections. Outside the exhibition hall, a model of Shenzhou spacecraft and a back-up of Long March-1 rocket are also on display.
Many Hong Kong residents, especially students, are attracted to the exhibition, taking a particular fancy in experiencing what it feels like to travel in space.
