BEIJING, Sep. 20 (China Space News) — The Long-March 2-F launch vehicle that will propel an unmanned space module into space to execute China's first space-docking, was moved to the launch pad at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China's Gansu Province on Sept. 9, 2011, a spokesperson said at the Center Tuesday.

The unmanned space module, Tiangong-1, will be carried into space by the LM-2F rocket sometime from Sept. 27 to 30, he added.

In the next few days, scientists will conduct final tests on all the devices for launch before filling the rocket with propellant.

Tiangong-1 will dock with the unmanned Shenzhou-8 spacecraft, which will be sent into space after the space module's launch.
