4th CSA-IAA Conference on Advanced Space Technology Held in Shanghai

BEIJING, Sep. 9 (China Space News) — Jointly organized by the Chinese Society of Astronautics (CSA) and the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA), the 4th CSA-IAA Conference on Advanced Space Technology was held from Sept. 5 to 8, 2011 in Shanghai.

With the theme of "Advanced Space Technology Benefits for Humanity", the conference provided a forum for the presentation and discussion of the topics of applications of the communications satellite, remote sensing satellite, navigation satellite, satellite and launcher technology, space policy and international cooperation.

IAA issued certificates to its newly elected Members and Corresponding Members from China at the conference. At present the Academy is composed of roughly 1200 Members and Corresponding Members, 82 are from mainland China.
