An exhibition showcasing China's achievements in scientific and technological innovation sectors during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020) on Thursday opened to the public in Beijing on Thursday.
Covering an area of 21,834 square meters, the week-long exhibition features 12 themed sections and 1,740 exhibits ranging from quantum computers to Mars rovers. About 1,345 items are original equipment, and 277 are models.
Among the outstanding displays are China's space station, Mars rover, the Chang'e-5 lunar probe, the Long March series of launch vehicles, BeiDou navigation satellites, high-resolution earth observation satellites and other applications developed by CASC.
The event at the Beijing Exhibition Hall is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Reform and Development Commission and the Beijing Municipal Government, among others.
