A high thrust liquid oxygen-kerosene engine, which was designed to power China's new-generation manned rocket, successfully completed a 300-second fire test on Sunday, said Academy of Aerospace Liquid Propulsion Technology (AALPT).
Since September 28, the engine has completed three successful test runs, totaling 650 seconds, said AALPT, a subsidiary of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC).
This marks a major breakthrough in the key technology of this type of engine and laid a solid foundation for the development of China's new-generation manned rocket, said CASC.
