China is planning to launch the Tianzhou-6 cargo spacecraft in May to deliver supplies to the country's orbiting Tiangong Space Station, according to the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA).
The Tianzhou-6 cargo spacecraft has been transferred to the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site in south China's Hainan Province. It is now being assembled and tested for launch in the coming month.
Besides the Tianzhou-6, China will launch the crewed spaceships Shenzhou-16 and Shenzhou-17 this year. These three missions will be the first batch of launches after China completed the construction of Tiangong space station, which assumes its final T-shape.
The Shenzhou 15 crew currently living aboard the Tiangong space station include Fei Junlong, Zhang Lu and Deng Qingming. They will return to Earth in June.
