BEIJING, Oct.18 (China Space News) — The LM-3B launch vehicle, which will send China's first lunar-landing probe into space, passed a critical review on October 16 in Beijing.
The review meeting was jointly organized by the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.
The review committee unanimously agreed that according to the design process all work on the rocket had been finished before it left the factory. Also, its functions and performance had met the design requirement.
According to meeting, the LM-3B rocket will be delivered to the Xichang Satellite Launch Site at the end of this month, and the Chang'e 3 lunar probe is expected to be launched in December.
