CASC is responsible for the development and launch of the systems such as manned spaceship, cargo spaceship, launch vehicle, space laboratory and space station for China’s Manned Space Program. CASC has successfully developed and launched 11 Shenzhou spaceships, 1 Tianzhou cargo spaceship, 1 target vehicle and 1 space laboratory, making China one of the several countries in the world independently mastering the technologies such as manned Earth-orbit transportation, extravehicular activity (EVA), rendezvous and docking in space, and in-orbit propellant refueling. Now CASC is carrying out the follow-on tasks for China’s Manned Space Program towards building China’s space station.
